Completing the clinical earns you a separate Phlebotomy Technician certificate, allowing you to present yourself as a Certified Phlebotomist in addition to being a Certified Medical Assistant. Additional Fees and Costs
- Application Fee: A $50 non-refundable application fee applies when you apply for the course. This fee is waived if you are funded by an agency.
- Liability Insurance Fee: A $20 liability insurance fee covers students throughout the program. This fee is also covered if you are agency-funded.
- Uniforms: Students will need at least one uniform, with an approximate cost of $60-75. Students have the option to purchase more or upgrade to higher-end uniforms.
- Textbooks: Course textbooks average around $120 in cost, but students can often find used copies online for less. We provide the phlebotomy workbook as part of the tuition. The school may also buy back textbooks from students at the end of the course, offering potential cost recovery.

Lab Fees and Supplies (Starting July 1, 2024)
Please note that effective July 1, 2024, lab fees and supplies are separate from tuition.
- Lab fees for this program are $1140.
- Supplies for this program are $1000.
- SUMMER 2024 SPECIAL: For courses paid in full before the start date in Summer 2024, lab fees and supplies will be included in the tuition.
- Economic Support: Non-funded students with incomes below the federal poverty line will have their lab fees and supplies included in the program. Simply inform the office of your income status to receive this credit; no financial documentation is required.
Optional Technology Package
Enhance your learning with our optional Technology Package ($1723), which provides video and narrated presentations of each lesson for flexible learning. This package also allows you to make up missed lectures without the standard tutoring fee ($100 per lecture).
Certification Exam Fee
The National HealthCareer Association (NHA) certification exam fee is $160 and is not included in the tuition. While not mandatory, this certification is highly recommended to enhance your career prospects and demonstrate your competency to employers.
Flexible Payment Plans to Suit Your Needs

General Payment Plan Terms:
- Minimum Down Payment: For 2024, the minimum down payment is $550.
- Lowest Monthly Payment: Monthly payments can be as low as $99, depending on the down payment amount.
- Maximum Term: The longest payment term is 24 months (2 years).
- Graduation Requirement: At least half of the tuition must be paid to graduate and receive your certificate.
- Term Adjustment: Lower down payments or monthly payments will result in longer payment terms, not exceeding 24 months. To meet this limit, either the down payment or monthly payment must be adjusted accordingly.
- Finance Fee: A finance fee applies to the financed amount. A larger down payment reduces the financed amount and, consequently, the finance fee.
- Interest: Interest accrues on the unpaid balance. Earlier loan payoff results in less total interest paid.
- Cost Efficiency: Higher down payments and faster repayment periods minimize the overall cost of the program.
- Most Affordable Option: Paying in full before the first class and taking advantage of the 20% discount remains the most cost-effective approach.
