Embarking on your journey to become a family medicine physician? Advocate Health Care Program’s Family Medicine Residency, particularly at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, offers a robust and comprehensive training experience. This program utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for application submissions, ensuring a streamlined and organized process for prospective residents.
Navigating Your Application Through ERAS
The ERAS platform, managed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), is your central hub for applying to our Family Medicine Residency. We encourage all interested applicants to familiarize themselves with the ERAS system well in advance of the application deadlines. The AAMC website (https://www.aamc.org/students/medstudents/eras) provides extensive resources and guidance to help you navigate the application process effectively, including crucial information on deadlines and the residency match process.
Our interview season typically commences in mid-October. We initiate application reviews as soon as ERAS opens, prioritizing candidates who have submitted complete applications. To ensure your application is considered in the initial review phase, please submit your materials as early as possible. The firm deadline for application submission through ERAS is November 1st. In alignment with AAMC recommendations, all interviews will be conducted virtually, ensuring accessibility and safety for all applicants.
Our NRMP program code for Family Medicine Residency is 2117120C2. Please ensure you use this code when applying.
