Minimum Requirements for Consideration: If you are selected for a position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements to comply with both LA’s BEST and LAUSD processing guidelines. These requirements are mandatory for all After School Care Programs Hiring within the district:
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Educational Verification: You must provide your original High School diploma, GED certificate, or official High School transcripts as proof of educational attainment.
- Tuberculosis Risk Assessment: A recent adult Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment, completed within 60 days of your processing appointment, is required to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
- Social Security Card Verification: Your name on your original Social Security Card must precisely match the name on your Driver’s License or government-issued Identification card for background check purposes.
- Valid Identification: You must possess a current, unexpired Driver’s License or unexpired California Identification card for identity verification.
- LAUSD Background Check: A comprehensive LAUSD government background check is a mandatory component of the hiring process for all LAUSD positions. Please be aware that there is a potential upfront fee of $67 associated with this background check, payable at the time of your processing appointment. This fee is a standard part of the LAUSD hiring procedure.
