Are You the Right Candidate?

To be eligible for Abbotsford School District Career Programs, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment in an Abbotsford School District Secondary school is a must.
  • Applicants should be 15 years of age or older when the program commences.
  • Successful completion of all required Grade 10 courses is necessary.
  • You must be under 19 years of age before June 30th preceding the program start date.

Simple Steps to Apply

Applying for a Career Program is straightforward:

  • Obtain the necessary forms from the Application Package section online.
  • Alternatively, you can pick up a physical application form from your school’s dedicated Career Facilitator.
  • Ensure all sections of the application are completed thoroughly, including all required signatures, and attach a copy of your most recent report card.
  • Have one of your teachers complete the teacher reference form to support your application.
  • Return your completed application package either to your school’s Career Facilitator for processing or directly to the District Career Programs office.

Key Dates for Your Application

Mark your calendar! You can submit your completed application between September 1 and the first Friday in April to receive priority admission consideration.

Applications received after the first Friday in April will still be considered, but only if there are still places available in the programs. Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an intake assessment and/or an interview as part of the selection process. Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory program-specific orientation session to prepare for the program.
