- Placement Assessment: Determine your academic placement by taking the ACCUPLACER test, submitting ACT/SAT scores (within the last three years), or providing an official college transcript for evaluation.
- Educational Background: Applicants must hold a high school diploma, GED, or be high school students in good standing. Please note: FAA regulations stipulate that Airframe or Powerplant mechanic licenses are issued only to individuals aged 18 years or older.

Graduates of the Federally-licensed Aviation Maintenance Technology (AVM) program are well-prepared to excel as certified airline or general aviation airframe and powerplant mechanics. This comprehensive program is FAA-certified, providing the approved curriculum necessary to undertake FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate examinations. The program delivers 2,000 hours of instruction in airframe and powerplant systems, effectively providing 11 months of intensive training within each of the program’s two years.
