What are ABC Career Programs?

ABC career programs are formal apprenticeship programs designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in various construction trades. Utilizing the nationally standardized NCCER curriculum, developed by industry experts and academics, ABC ensures its training is always relevant and cutting-edge. Pearson, a leading education publisher, partners with NCCER to provide high-quality learning resources for these programs. Our instructors are not just teachers; they are experienced journey-level craft professionals certified by NCCER, bringing real-world expertise to the classroom and workshop.

The apprenticeship model combines classroom learning with on-the-job training. For most four-year trades, apprentices complete the ABC/NCCER curriculum and accumulate 8,000 hours of paid on-the-job learning. Upon graduation, you’ll be registered with the U.S. Department of Labor and awarded a prestigious journeyman’s certification, a testament to your competence and professionalism in the construction field. Indiana apprentices also have the opportunity to earn a tuition-free Associate Degree in Science Career/Tech Degree through ABC’s partnership with Vincennes University, further enhancing their career prospects.
