Our mission within the Advocate Health Care Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship is to cultivate board-eligible graduates through an academically and clinically rigorous training journey, equipping them with exceptional general cardiology expertise.

This comprehensive 3-year program integrates a wide spectrum of cutting-edge technologies, placing significant emphasis on honing practical skills in physical diagnosis and cognitive decision-making, all grounded in evidence-based strategies. Our distinguished Cardiovascular Disease faculty engages daily with fellows during rounds, didactic sessions, inpatient and outpatient diagnosis and management scenarios, and specialized conferences, ensuring personalized mentorship and guidance.

Upon graduation, fellows will have fulfilled all training mandates, rendering them fully eligible to undertake the ABIM cardiovascular disease board certification examination. We proudly uphold a 5-year rolling pass rate of 100%, a testament to our program’s efficacy and commitment to excellence.

In meticulous coordination with the pertinent ACGME Program Requirements and Milestones, the American College of Cardiology’s COCATS4 training guidelines, and Entrustable Professional Activities, our fellowship is meticulously structured to impart foundational and advanced clinical knowledge, procedural proficiency, refined clinical judgment, unwavering professionalism, and the essential interpersonal skills necessary for accomplished specialists. Graduates are primed for autonomous practice within private clinical settings or to thrive in demanding academic centers.
