The After-School Enrichment & Youth Development Program is dedicated to fostering self-confident, self-directed, cooperative, and creative children and youth. Unlike typical child care, this program is a proactive prevention initiative designed to steer young individuals away from high-risk behaviors, including smoking, drug and alcohol use, bullying, truancy, and gang involvement. We provide a safe, nurturing, and expertly supervised environment during crucial after-school hours and school breaks.
Participants benefit from comprehensive support, including homework assistance, literacy and reading programs, and essential computer and internet skills instruction. Beyond academics, we offer structured play, engaging arts and crafts activities, exciting field trips, meaningful community service opportunities, and valuable intergenerational mentoring. For middle and high school students, our College Readiness program opens doors to future success with informative presentations on diverse career options, navigating financial aid, and immersive visits to local university campuses. Understanding the importance of nutrition, we also provide free snacks during school day programs and both lunch and snacks during break programs, ensuring every child is nourished and ready to learn.

Accessing Our After Care Programs in El Paso
Our after care programs are open to all students aged 6-18, eliminating complex eligibility requirements. While registration is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged as it directly impacts program funding, which is based on registered student attendance. To register, we appreciate parents bringing income documentation and forms for other public services utilized, if readily available. While calling ahead for registration is preferred, we warmly welcome walk-ins during program operating hours.

Engaging Art Projects
In collaboration with the El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD), our After-School Enrichment and Youth Development program proudly showcases student creativity through art exhibitions. Currently, our talented students are immersed in creating drawings, paintings, and sculptures inspired by the vibrant alebrije art style. These fascinating flying animal-hybrids, rooted in a Mexican art tradition from the 1930s, will be featured in an upcoming exhibition in July.
