Unlock Opportunities with After School Care Programming Scholarships

Scholarship applications for both ESE and SOC programs will open on July 15th at 9 a.m.

For the Extended School Enrichment (ESE) program, families with students attending Carmel Clay Schools who qualify for free or reduced lunch are encouraged to apply. Free lunch status qualifies students for a significant 90% fee waiver, while reduced lunch status provides a 45% fee waiver. Eligibility for ESE scholarships requires parents or guardians to be employed or enrolled as full-time students, demonstrating a need for after school care programming to support their work or education commitments. It is important to note that while the scholarship assists with program fees, the annual registration fee must still be covered by the applicant. Successful applicants must also maintain a current ESE account to ensure continuous services.

The School’s Out Camp (SOC) scholarship program also aims to broaden access to after school care programming. These scholarships are available to families with children in Carmel Clay Schools based on household income relative to Federal Poverty Guidelines. SOC scholarships can cover 25%, 50%, or 75% of program fees, reducing the financial burden for eligible families. Similar to the ESE program, the registration fee remains the responsibility of the participant. It’s crucial to understand that SOC scholarships are specifically for School’s Out Camp programs and do not extend to Extended School Enrichment (ESE), Monon Community Center (MCC), or Summer Camp Series (SCS) programs. Separate applications are required for scholarships for MCC, ESE, or SCS programs.
