By delivering dedicated care management services to infants and their families within the NICU and other specialized care units, the program strives to achieve higher family satisfaction rates while contributing to a reduction in overall healthcare expenditures. Alere NICU care managers play a crucial role, engaging directly with families both within the hospital setting and through round-the-clock telephone support. This consistent interaction facilitates education, provides emotional and informational support, encourages active family involvement with hospital staff, assists in preparing for the infant’s discharge from the NICU, coordinates necessary resources, and extends ongoing support to families after they return home.
