Driving Nursing Program Excellence with ATI

As the ATI Program Specialist, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the success of our nursing programs through effective implementation and management of Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) resources. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic ATI Management: Providing comprehensive management and oversight for ATI within each nursing program. Your goal will be to ensure each cohort meets or surpasses ACC’s outcome benchmarks, with a target of 90% of each graduating class achieving the “green light” and program benchmarks.
  • NCLEX First-Time Pass Rate Optimization: Collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to strive for a 90% or better first-time pass rate on the NCLEX exam each quarter. This involves developing and executing robust strategies to prepare students for licensure success.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Working with the DON to create and implement a dynamic success plan that evaluates the effectiveness of current ATI initiatives. You will be instrumental in developing innovative methods to enhance student, graduate, and faculty performance related to ATI.
  • Administrative Leadership and Monitoring: Developing and implementing efficient administrative systems and procedures to meticulously monitor and improve ATI effectiveness. This includes analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and deploying remediation strategies to ensure students and graduates are actively engaged with their ATI program.
  • Championing ATI Success: Serving as the on-campus ATI champion, providing unwavering support to both current students and graduates until they successfully pass the NCLEX exam.

What You Bring to the Role

To excel in this impactful role, you should possess a blend of experience, knowledge, and a genuine passion for nursing education. Ideally, your background will include:

  • Program Management Expertise: A minimum of one year of proven experience in program management, demonstrating your ability to oversee complex initiatives and drive results.
  • Technological Proficiency: Strong knowledge in leveraging technology to support and deliver educational programs and services. Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital educational tools is essential.
  • Management and Administrative Acumen: Demonstrated strong management skills and expertise in administrative systems management, particularly as they apply to specialized program areas within nursing education.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of state, federal, and local laws and regulations pertinent to nursing programs. This includes familiarity with governmental compliance and accreditation standards from bodies such as ABHES, BVNPT, BRN, and other relevant organizations.
  • ATI Product Experience: Direct experience with ATI products and their application in nursing education is highly desirable.
  • Data Analysis and Database Management Skills: At least one to two years of professional experience in testing and/or statistical data analysis, including database management. This skill set will be crucial for monitoring ATI effectiveness and identifying trends.
  • Nursing Program Experience: Experience working directly with nursing programs, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within this educational domain.
  • Learning Management System Familiarity: Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System is highly beneficial.
  • CampusVue Experience: Familiarity with CampusVue or similar student information systems is advantageous.

Education and Credentials

To qualify for the ATI Program Specialist position, candidates should have:

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited college or university that includes coursework in education or business administration. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a BSN in a related field.
  • Preferred Advanced Degree: A Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred, indicating advanced knowledge and commitment to the nursing profession.
  • Active RN License: A Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory. Candidates must meet all faculty requirements as stipulated by American Career College.
