His journey in the field began in 1999 after graduating as a surgical technologist. He honed his skills during his surgical rotation at Georgetown University in Washington DC, which led to his first professional role. Dustin’s commitment to excellence is underscored by his certification as a Surgical Technologist in 2002 and further solidified in 2007 when he earned his certification as a Surgical First Assistant.

Before joining ACC, Dustin’s hands-on experience spanned various surgical specialties, including trauma, cardiovascular, and neurosurgery, gained while working in Texas. Recognizing the importance of leadership and administration in healthcare, Dustin pursued and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2013. This led him to roles in surgery center administration and eventually back to American Career College in 2022.

Dustin’s return to ACC highlights his passion for education and mentorship. As Program Director, he leverages his extensive experience to guide and inspire the next generation of surgical technologists.
