As an Analyst in Store Care Programs, you will be at the heart of ensuring the efficient operation of Walgreens stores. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Manager, Store Care Programs, by providing insightful data analytics, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role demands collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within Walgreens and externally, including Property Management, the Facilities Division, utility companies, service providers, and vendors. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the smooth execution of energy and utility programs through effective coordination of these external partners.

Key Responsibilities of the Analyst, Store Care Programs

This role offers a dynamic environment where you will be involved in various critical aspects of store operations. Here are the core responsibilities you will undertake:

  • End-to-End Program Management: You will manage the complete deployment lifecycle of store care programs, encompassing interior and exterior maintenance, as well as crucial energy programs. This involves aligning these programs with Walgreens’ overarching strategies, budgetary constraints, and the expectations of all stakeholders. Your role will be critical in coordinating efforts across internal departments, external service providers, vendors, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Daily Program Support: Providing daily support is essential to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of store care services. You will be the go-to person for addressing program-related queries and ensuring smooth operational flow.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Effective coordination with the Asset Management team, both corporate and field-based personnel, and external vendors like CBRE is paramount. You will ensure consistent delivery of store care programs according to specifications and maintain clear lines of communication.
  • Proactive Issue Resolution: A key aspect of your role is to proactively identify any discrepancies or issues arising between stores and vendors. You will be expected to take ownership of problem resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: You will spearhead projects focused on the proactive management of Walgreens’ assets, including stores and equipment, and contribute to optimizing utility and energy consumption. This also extends to exploring and implementing alternative energy resources, showcasing your strategic thinking and initiative.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Delivering a high level of customer service is crucial. You will be expected to respond to all correspondence promptly and professionally, maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Program Strategy Support: You will assist in the development and implementation of store care and energy program strategies designed to meet the evolving needs of Walgreens’ customers. This involves contributing to the strategic direction of these vital programs.
  • Performance Measurement and Analysis: Developing and assessing benchmarking metrics will be part of your responsibilities. Qualifications to Excel in This Role

Basic Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. However, candidates with a High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in customer inquiry response and issue resolution will also be considered.
  • Customer Service Expertise: Proven experience in providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers is essential. This includes meeting stringent quality standards and a focus on evaluating and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Communication Skills: Experience in effectively communicating and collaborating within cross-functional teams and with strategic business partners in a matrix organization is highly valued.
  • Project Management and Multi-tasking Abilities: Demonstrated experience working with multiple work streams simultaneously and collaborating on the successful implementation of projects and initiatives is necessary.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Experience in identifying operational issues, recommending, and implementing effective strategies to resolve problems is crucial.
  • Financial Acumen: Knowledge of reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis is required to effectively manage program budgets and performance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential. This includes skills such as using advanced Excel functions (AVERAGE, pivot tables, VLookup), creating impactful PowerPoint presentations, and utilizing advanced Word features.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Experience within the utilities and/or energy industry, particularly with utilities service programs, energy management, and alternative energy solutions, is highly advantageous.
  • Facilities/Asset Management Background: Experience with facilities/asset management and/or maintenance programs is a significant plus.
  • Self-Direction and Initiative: The ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-direction in achieving goals, along with the judgment to escalate issues when necessary, is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to identify trends, exceptions, and drive improvements based on data analysis are preferred.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as lookups and pivot tables, is particularly beneficial.
