Program Location
For the Fiscal Year 2025 cohort, all resident sessions will be held in Huntsville, Alabama. This central location provides an accessible and conducive environment for focused learning and collaboration.

Each resident session is structured with full-day classes from Monday to Thursday and half-day sessions on Friday. Full attendance at all sessions and classes is mandatory to maximize your learning experience and program benefits.
Earn Continuous Learning Points (CLPs)
Upon successful completion of all three resident weeks of the IDEAL program, including all associated activities and assignments, participants will be awarded 112 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs). These CLPs demonstrate your commitment to professional development and are valuable for career advancement within the Army.
Funding and Travel Logistics
The Army DACM Office generously funds tuition and fees for all IDEAL program participants. Furthermore, for those required to travel to Huntsville, AL, TDY funding is provided, covering travel expenses, per diem, lodging, and even rental car costs. This comprehensive financial support ensures that eligible personnel can participate in this invaluable program without financial burden.

Please note that while the DACM Office covers TDY expenses including asc car rental program costs for travel to Huntsville, it does not reimburse travel time. Participants seeking compensation for travel time should coordinate directly with their respective command or organization. Participating organizations and commands retain responsibility for the compensation, salary, and benefits of their employees attending IDEAL. IDEAL participants remain on their organizations’ TDAs throughout the program duration.
