Who is Eligible for Alabama CARES?

  • Older relative caregivers (excluding parents) aged 55 years or older who are caring for children aged 18 years and younger, whether the children have disabilities or not.
  • Older relative caregivers and parents, including grandparents aged 55 years or older, caring for adults aged 19-59 years with disabilities.

Income and Accessing Services
